What next? Packaging made from thin air? Yes, it is true!

Fairbrics being one of the start-ups to win the Citeo circular challenge, was also a part of their incubator program. At the forefront of sustainable innovation, Fairbrics and Citeo collaborated together to  revolutionize packaging with a groundbreaking initiative: the creation of its first green plastic packaging utilizing raw material derived from carbon dioxide. By leveraging cutting-edge technologies, Fairbrics has developed a process that converts carbon dioxide into a polymer, replacing traditional plastic components. This innovative packaging not only reduces reliance on fossil fuels but also actively contributes to mitigating climate change by sequestering carbon emissions, also a big shoutout to Recyc’Elit for participating in this project. January 17th 2023 – European Union Grant

 

Fairbrics raises €22 M to bring to market its CO2-based polyester fiber and reduce the textile industry’s carbon footprint

The European Union has awarded the company with a €17 M grant as part of a Technology Upscaling Project involving 13 partners from 7 countries across Europe. The project’s partners will contribute an additional €5 M. The combined funds will be used to build a pilot line within the next 2 years and a demo plant within the next 4 years. Fairbrics wins Citeo Circular Challenge

Citeo aims to accelerate the transformation of our economy towards circular models by providing long-term support for prevention, eco-design, sorting, collection, reuse and recycling projects. Fairbrics partners with On Shoes

Shoes from carbon emissions? It will be possible thanks to our collaboration with On shoes. Fairbrics is delighted to produce upper polyester textile from carbon dioxide, which can be considered the main cause of man-made climate change.

Fairbrics selected for French Tech Green20 - 2022

La French Tech Green20 is a program launched by the French Tech mission and teams from the Ministry of Ecological Transition which aims to support tech startups with the potential to become the champions of ecological transition. Fairbrics has been selected as one of the 20 laurates and will benefit from the increased visibility and enhanced government support.

May 24th 2022 – Aigle

Fairbrics partners up with Aigle

Fairbrics collaborates with the fashion brand Aigle to create sustainable clothing, the first of which is a green t-shirt made of waste CO2 gas, as worn in the photo by Aigle CEO Sandrine Conseiller.

March 30th 2022 – AP Ventures

Fairbrics raises over €6.5 M in Pre-Series A funds

AP Ventures, a decarbonisation technology investor, led the round in which Fairbrics raised more than €6.5 M from AP ventures, H&M CO:LAB, and Sake Bosch. This funding will be used to establish a pilot plant for the production of sustainable polyester fibres from CO2.

Fairbrics wins i-Nov competition

Fairbrics has been selected as one of the winners of the 7th wave of the i-Nov section of the Innovation Competition, which aims to support innovative projects that have a high potential for the French economy. This competition is funded by the government through France 2030 and operated by Bpifrance and ADEME.

Fairbrics partners with H&M Group

H&M Group has partnered with the Global Change awared winner Fairbrics to produce sustainable polyester from harmful CO2 emissions using Fairbrics’ state-of-the-art technology. October 14th 2020 – Thomson Reuters Foundation

Fairbrics and its product Airwear are featured by the Thomson Reuters Foundation

Polyester from pollution? Fashion’s next generation goes green. Fairbrics, whose name refers to a “fairer” way of producing fabrics, expects to be able to produce a kilogram of polyester yarn per day by the beginning of next year.

Fairbrics won the Cleantech Open France

The Cleantech Open France is a start-up ecosystem in the French Cleantech sector committed to the energy, environmental, and climate transition.
Fairbrics is the big winner in the Green Chemistry & New Materials sector, thanks to the manufacture of materials intended for industrialists and more respectful of the environment.

Fairbrics provides environmentally friendly solutions to manufacturers for the production of materials that are critical to their operations. They use CO2 as a raw material in the manufacture of virgin synthetic fabrics for the fashion industry.

September 21st 2020 – European Commission

Fairbrics selected as Finalist by European Commission for the 2020 EUSIC Reimagine Fashion

The European Commission has named Airwear by Fairbrics as a finalist of the European Social Innovation Competition 2020 under the theme “Reimagine Fashion”, which focuses on reimagining fashion to change behaviour for sustainable fashion.

This competition is organized by the European Commission in all EU Member States and countries associated with Horizon 2020.
A jury of experts chose the finalists from a group of 30 semi-finalists, who were chosen from a total of 766 applicants from across Europe.

July 2nd 2020 – LVMH Innovation Award

Fairbrics selected as a finalist of LVMH Innovation Award 2020

The LVMH Innovation award supports innovative initiatives that align with LVMH Group’s values and provide creative solutions to the group’s challenges.

As a finalist, Fairbrics has participated in LVMH Lab during the Viva Technology Show in Paris, organized by Publicis Group and media group Les Echos, which facilitates collaboration between business leaders and startups.

Fairbrics wins H&M Global Change Award 2020

The H&M Foundation’s Global Change Award, an innovation challenge, aims to transform the fashion and textile industries by supporting disruptive ideas that will save our planet.

Fairbrics received this award for its project to combat climate change by producing polyester fibres from the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide, as well as access to a one-year acceleration program.
